Situated in the beautiful Usk Valley between the towns of Brecon and Abergavenny, Crickhowell Primary School offers a diverse range of opportunities for its pupils, both as part of the curriculum and as extra curricular activities. We aim to provide children with the necessary skills, attitude and knowledge to equip them as learners for the 21st century, able to understand and adapt to the rapidly changing world around them.
The building itself consists of ten classroom spaces, separate school canteen and school hall with full stage as well as a Local Authority funded Specialist Centre. The school benefits from extensive and well developed school grounds that are used to enhance the children's learning.
Crickhowell is a Community School that places a strong emphasis on working with its many partners to develop exciting futures for the children in its care. We see education as a partnership between home and school and recognise that developing effective working relationships with parents and carers is essential in order to meet the schools’ aims.

We offer a very broad range of curriculum opportunities for all our students, delivered by a specialist team of highly qualified and dedicated staff. We work very hard to identify and support the individual learning needs of all our students and believe that no student should leave Crickhowell High School without a range of good qualifications.
Additional learning opportunities provide a very important aspect of our School Ethos. We also offer a range of vocational courses including some part time college part time provision. In addition to this many students attend twilight sessions after school when they have the chance to study a wide range of sporting, academic and creative options.
As a school we are committed to developing the use of state of the art technology to enhance learning; this includes interactive software in every classroom and video conferencing facilities. In 2012 we upgraded a significant amount of our ICT Network across the school.
